Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the overall mathematics learning in several scientific journals at the basic education level "at the basic education level. The method used is meta-analysis, namely a descriptive narrative review or systematic review by analyzing the results. The results of research that have been published nationally relating to the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on elementary school students' mathematics learning The sample in this study is a random sampling technique with a total of thirteen journal articles that have been published nationally in Indonesia with a span of years. 2014-2020 at the basic education level which discusses the writing of experiments on the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in elementary school students' Mathematics learning. The instrument used is a coding data sheet that summarizes the data. and journal information. Based on the analysis of the overall effect value, the average value of the influence is 0.416, which means that it is in the large effect category. The findings of the analysis also show that the problem-based learning model has an influence on Mathematics learning in basic education. This shows the conclusion that the-pl problem based learning model is more effective in learning mathematics compared to the conventional learning model in this study

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results and process of increasing students' conceptual understanding of the water cycle material through natural environment-based learning in class V. The method used is classroom action research (CAR) which adapts the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model which in this study has four components consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The instrument used to measure the increase in students' conceptual understanding used a concept understanding test, while the instrument used to measure the improvement in the learning process used observation sheets for teacher and student activities as well as student daily observation sheets and the last one was documentation. The subjects in this study consisted of 16 fifth grade students. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in conceptual understanding after the implementation of the natural environment-based learning model in the water cycle science subject, which is characterized by an increase in the results of understanding the concept and changes in student behavior after the actions are carried out in each cycle. This can be seen from the increase in the results of the concept understanding test in cycle I and cycle II. In the first cycle, the class average was 86.62 and increased in the second cycle with the class average of 91.12. In addition, the results of this increase are also strengthened by an increase in student behavior, where the results obtained in the first cycle of 65% and an increase in the results in the second cycle to 89%. This shows that the application of natural environment-based learning can be an alternative science learning model, because this learning model can improve the understanding of fifth grade students in the water cycle material

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the effect of Interactive Learning Video-Based Mathematics Learner Worksheets in an effort to improve mathematics-based reasoning skills in elementary school students. This research is quantitative using the type of one group pretest-posttest design, trying to answer how the Interactive Learning Video-Based Mathematics Learner Worksheet has a positive effect in learning mathematical reasoning of elementary school students. Data collection techniques using tests are tested with statistical tests in the form of t-tests. This study found that Interactive Learning Video-Based Mathematics Learner Worksheets positively influenced students' mathematics-based reasoning learning, indicated by the average difference between the pretest and posttest groups. The ease and flexibility of access to the Learner Worksheet system provides a wide opportunity for students to study it repeatedly when and where the student is able. Another finding, after the application of learning, students are able to perform mathematical manipulations well, provide reasons or evidence for the correctness of the solution quite well, draw conclusions from statements very well, and check the validity of an argument well. The habituation of mathematical reasoning structure will make students more accustomed and have good mathematical reasoning skills.
